Hi all,

I bought some of the LED replacement bulbs from ebay (Chinese, supposedly error free ones) and fitted them at the weekend, whilst doing the door light the LED bulb arc'd on the contacts causing the fuse to blow. eventually I fitted them all and they were fine and I replaced the fuse. When I went to use the car in the morning I had loads of errors on the dash (adaptive lighting, ESC, tyre inflation, steering).
I took it to my local audi specialist and they connected it up and cleared the errors but they remained afterwards. I now have slight heavy steering and still ESC error and adaptive lighting error and warning triangle. I have since refitted the old bulbs just in case, but have the lights/fuse caused an error, or could there of already been an error.
Its going back in the garage Monday for the first MOT, and they will check again.
is there anything I could try in the meantime.

Have you checked the fuse that handles the bits that don't work/error?
Might be that further fuses went when the first one went

I checked a few last night, but will have to do a sweep of them all just in case

Don't forget there are fuses all over the place (boot area side and under the floor) and not just on the end of the dash

i checked all the fuses in the boot and ends of the dash and no other fuses have gone, but still getting adaptive lights, esc, and steering errors. frustrating for sure. I did notice though that the fuel cap cover is not locking, so not sure if this could be the cause for any of them?

Have you tried ditching the cheap chinese bulbs and refitting the OEM ones to see if that cures the faults?

yes I had done that once all the issues arose, but they are still there.

Have you checked the fuses under the steering wheel? you need to remove the plastic cover and then you wil see some fuses underneath the steering wheel. Also the one for indoor lightning.

Yes just checked the ones under the steering column all fine. How do I know if I have adaptive lighting

Do the lights turn when you are turning with the car? if yes, you have adaptive headlights

I'm not sure about when driving, but on the drive I turned the wheels fully and they don't move

Then you don't have the adaptives
