Does anyone have an Avant with the 2.0 litre TDI, 150ps power unit that could share their views on how it feels when the cars fully loaded? I'm going from a 1.8tfsi saloon to this next month.

Any views or opinions would be helpful. Kind of wish I'd went 190 now, not massively fussed for loads of power but a little oomph for taking over I enjoy.

I have the 2.0 tdi 150 ps on a saloon and I like it very much, I never had the feeling that I needed more power it is more that enough for a normal driver. Before of this I had a 2.0 tdi 143 hp audi a4 b8 and i can tell that the b9 with 150 feels better in every way. I had the same problem with the iddea that i should have take the 190 but i was surpprised in a good way by the 150 ps engine;)

Had mine since May, just clocked over 10K miles and never found it wanting. Mine's got the Stronic box as well and wouldn't go back to a manual either.
Just enjoy your new car

He mine since March, 12,000 miles, Sport Avant, 150 BHP + S Tronic, if you pull the gear lever back it switches between Economy & Sport mode, cruise in E, play in S, plenty of power, never felt wanting.

I've had a 2.0 litre TDI, 150ps s-tronic saloon for 6 months (and 15k miles). Most of the time it's just me in the car, but even when fully loaded (boot full, bikes on the roof and 3 people in the car), there isn't a huge reduction in performance. However, the bikes on the roof do reduce your mpg by 10-15mpg.

That's quite a big drop, I'll be throwing my bike on top of mine for some jaunts in Scotland.

I fairness, I've experienced similar reductions in economy on a number of vehicles when bikes are on the roof.
