Audi A5 power issue, hesitating! 😭

Hi everyone.

This is my first proper post on here so I hope it's in the right section!


I had my 2008 Audi A5 3.0 tdi for 4 months now, nice car, but tbh I've had enough of it and hope somebody can help!
Its most common fault is when I put my foot down I get about 2 seconds of good power.
After that power is restricted for a few seconds, then will return for a split second, then go again.

Its as if the fuel pressure is changing between good pressure and a lower pressure. Engine runs smoothly.

I have the following fault codes which I believe to be nothing to do with this fault.....

p0546 - sensor 1 for exhaust temperture bank short to ground
p0638 - throttle body actuator bank 1, signal implausible

p0671 - glow plug issue
p161f - glow plugs again


I have just changed the maf today and it has made no difference. Thanks in advance for
any help.

so go for a drive and look at the live data readings.

Check the manifold flap links to see if the have come off.

I did this. My maf was faulty and replaced this but everything else looked fine. Problem still persists ☹️
