Rns-e to Audi a4 b7 problem connecting to vcds

hi,

i have installed a audi rnse in to my a4 b7, originally had audi concert 2 headunit non bose, i plugged it in a few weeks back and noticed it was going off every half hour and no lights were illuminating, also rear speakers or sub were not working.

i had a quick google and found out i needed to move one wire to another pin for it to allow me to connect via vcds so i could code it in,

since i have moved the wire, it does not switch off and buttons illuminate as well as sub and speakers all working,

however wont connect to vcds says no response from controller

the old concert used to connect to radio on vcds,

am i right in saying that if the lights illuminate on the unit it means it has a connection for me to use vcds and connect to radio or navigation on vcds?


i wanted to have it coded in and change the startup screen logo

all other modules can be accessed via vcds

also i havnt got the maps dvd yet which i have just ordered, wouldnt think not having it would make a difference for it to connected to vcds to code it in?
