Well hello all.
MY name is Greg, and I am in the US Army stationed in Germany. I decided to pick myself up a 99 Passat Variant 1.8 20v non turbo.
This is obviously not my first foray into the VAG community. I used to own a 2003 20th anny GTI. Twas a fun and fast car but was sadly stolen from me back in 2012.
Other than the GTI I have owned a Ford Focus, a Dodge Shadow, a Terminator Mustang Cobra, a Camaro SS, 2 92 Mazda Miatas, and I currently have a 95 E36 320i to go with the Passat. I have also owned my share of motorcycles but hey, this is a car forum right? haha.
Any who, the plan with the passat is to do all of the required maintenance then start with a few fun things, like coils and nice wheels. I dont want to go too crazy because I bought it to be a daily.
But I figure these are what you want, so here are a few pictures of the Passat, keep in mind it sat for 3 years before I purchased it so the paint is a wee bit dull and faded.
