I've got a manual 2013 and i find the hold assist function really useful. The only annoying thing about it is I have to manually select it every time I start the car up. You might think 'just switch it on everytime and stop being lazy' and you'd be right, but also when forget and you think its on, it can be a little embarrassing some times. I recently had a new A6 as a courtesy car with a tiptronic box and that remembered the setting after switch off. Does anyone know if the 2013 can be coded the same?

TIA

Not much help but my S-tronic 2015 A4 remembers the last setting thankfully!

Mine is a 2013 manual and I am sure it stays on all the time, I have never turned it on or off it just works all the time.

From what I know on the early models it was not possible via coding, and from what I've read I believe it is a function of multiple modules, but no one as yet has figured it out.

Thinking about it now, I think it may have been one of the enhancement on the 14my cars (which mine is) along with DAB and power tailgate as standard.

Thanks for your replys. I will do some further research to see what I can dig up. Might contact Ross Tech to see if they can help.

The Early models don't support it by coding. There exist dongles which you can plug in.
Same for the Start/Stop function

Do you have a link to the dongle you mention? I have changed start/stop with VCDS see A6 C7 VCDS Tricks (http://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/showthread.php/132245-A6-C7-VCDS-Tricks)

Thanks

Have a look over here: Anfahrassistent (Hold-Assist) Aktivierungsautomatik für Audi A6 4G, A (http://www.suwtec.de/Anfahrassistent-Hold-Assist-Aktivierungsautomatik-fuer-Audi-A6-4G-A4-8K-A5-und-Q5)
There are probably more sellers or brands. This is the first one i found on google.
I also did the coding for my 2011 4G (Increasing the number with 34 i though or 36) but it doesn't work in my car.
