Active Info display retrofit

I saw a thread on an Oz forum about retrofitting the Active Info Display to a B8 Passat and a company responded that it was relatively simple. Has anybody heard of that in the UK? I got my R Line a month before the 2016 MY update where it became standard and am a bit narked off I didn't get one so I'd be interested.

Do you remember at what forum you found info regarding the AID retrofit? - Can’t find anything anywhere

I already bought the parts, but seeking more info regarding the topic before starting up the project.
So far, I know that I need my local vw dealer to code the keys and immobilizer and remove the component protection on the AID cluster.

Be interesting to see how much that cost and if it can be done over here. VW should offer this as a dealer fit upgrade, I'm sure they'd get takers.

Don't think VW ever will upgrade/retrofit it
