Autocar stated the SQ7 was on sale last week, providing confirmation of prices and specs. Just tried to get hold of my local main dealer and they wouldn't even put me through to the salesman, saying the car isn't yet on sale.

What has anyone else found?

I saw that on Autocar too, and I was puzzled as I ordered my SQ7 on 14 June! The build is due to commence on 26 September. Any dealer who says it's not on sale yet is talking out of his Ronson.

Did you order through audi Edinburgh? Ukcarbroker.co.uk still has them advertised at £64,679 before options.

Yeah Edinburgh Audi. I thought about waiting for deals appearing on Orange Wheels etc. but I have quite a few grand of negative equity in my X5 and Edinburgh Audi swallowed it for me AND discounted the car a bit more, plus chucked in GAP insurance (or TLC as they call it). This was after playing them off against Aberdeen Audi.

Edinburgh haven't been competitive on the initial quote. £33k extra to fund the difference between the two on a like for like basis. Waiting for basingstoke audi to come back to me - hoping for £25k.

Heck that has soon come round S.

Another tick for Ed Audi from me. Great to deal with.

Yeah it certainly has...it's gone from December build, to October, and seems to have settled on 29 August. I just know time is going to really DRAG now!

So I finally went and checked the SQ out whilst having the cars rear seats fixed...boy what a car, some nice little design extras and the exhaust tips I really like.

This scared me off

That's a good point - I don't know! I saw the back wheels and personally they weren't for me!! Found the car on Social Media and here's a pic of the wheels...therefore both front and rears were the same

So I went and test drove the SQ7 on Saturday. Sounds obvious to say but....wow! The sound and performance is amazing. What a machine. Have got an offer through UKCarbroker for a new specced factory build, delivery March so they've got pre-ordered slots, and they've offered me £47k trade in now (we can live with the second car until March) for my 4.5k miles 272 s-line.

Make sure you get it before April, as any delays will cost you big time in rfl.

What spec. you going for? I recommend the 22s, they set it off beautifully.

The deadline is 6th April. As it would be delivery in March they've said it should beat this date, but obviously won't guaranty it as it's in the hands of the factory. What they said is, if it's on UK soil (ie at the docks or being prepared) they'll be able to tax it.

Exterior color options: Sepang blue, pearl effect or Exterior color options: Daytona grey, pearl effect (not decided yet)
21", 21" x 9.5J ‘5-twin-spoke’ design alloy wheels with 285/40 R21 tyres
Seat cover options: Alcantara/leather with S line embossing on the front seats, Seats: Black with contrast stitching in silver, Dashboard: Black, Carpet: Black, Headliner: Black
Deletion of model and technology badges at rear
Electric panoramic glass sunroof
Driver’s side memory function for the electrically adjustable front seats
Door mirrors - Electrically folding, adjustable and heated with memory function
Trailer pack
BOSE® 3D Surround Sound
Parking assist pack
Red painted brake calipers with S Logo

Probably sounds strange to opt for the alcantara over the valcona leather, especially as it's a £1k upgrade on the s-line, but I prefer the feel of alcantara and think it may age better (each to their own...I know some will disagree).

The other big one is not choosing the dynamic pack (diff, electric torsion bars and 4W steering)...I'm sure it's amazing in everyway, but I just can't stump up the £5,700 cost.

I can't now seem to find the non-smokers pack.

I just looked...£800 in year 1 and £450 each year for 5 years. I think I'd want a firm bloody commitment to deliver it before April.

That's a tidy spec, nice one. Agreed re. the dynamic pack. There's no way I was paying for that...to be honest the car holds the road superbly on the windy backroads near where I live - no issues even when I'm being a bit throttle-happy :o

You are having the exact same colour dilemma I had - I went for Sepang but I saw a Daytona with black pack and it looks amazing, still happy with my choice though. It may be worth considering the electric steering column as this combines with the memory seats and mirrors personal setting in the key memory function.

Sorry for the questions...still at the click submit point.

The 2 21" wheels - is the more expensive equivalent worth it? I think this has the black inserts in between the spokes

21" 5 twin spoke design alloy wheels - £708.00
21" 5 twin spoke design alloy wheels in titanium look with gloss turned finish - £885.00

IMO the titanium ones do look better. Have you completely discounted the 22s? I know I am biased but they look brilliant and the ride comfort with the air suspension is still very good.

It's the missus that's going to do most of the driving and she's nervous about ******* them up on kerbs or round the back roads. She wouldn't let me have the 21s when we got the current one with 20s, and now she's now against the 22s.

Haha

I got the 19's with my SE, kinda regretted not getting larger until today when my wife side swiped the entire kerb twice whilst driving, so now very glad I got the big rubber to bounce of the kerbs.

Get Audi to throw in some alloy wheel insurance...everyone's a winner!
