Engine oil spraying out of dipstick?

Hi have a Mk5 Golf 1.9tdi (PD Engine) Starts and ticks over (but like its in limp mode) Try and rev there is no pressure from exhaust, take the dip stick out and oil sprays everywhere. Could the Cat have collapsed? Or a blockage somewhere? Any ideas welcome guys, thanks in advance

remove exhaust at turbo and see if its ok.

If it has a KKK turbo, the shafts can snap and the turbine falls off, a clue is that the intake pipe will collapse if you try and rev it.
