:zx11::zx11:hi there!!!! i am new to the site so i hope not to annoy anyone with this q?
my cupra r (02) 210 bhp will not accelerate after 2500 revs ie the turbo will not work. got it checked out - £60. apperently i need a new turbo estimate £1000 - 1400. i was hoping for a remap but now now with this cost. can i fit a 225bhp turbo or are they the same. plus where is the place apart from dealer for fitting? need help as usual cash is in short demand with xmAS SO CLOSE.:1zhelp:

shop about, try Euro car parts they may stock a turbo a lot cheaper, not sure if you can use the 225 K04 turbo, slightly bigger with more bhp. got a remap for my 225 cupra R cost £450, running about 265-270 bhp, best to upgrade dump valve tho if your going that route.

hope this helps

I think the turbo is the same in the 210 and 225 at least it is on vag-cat for BAM and AMK engines, BAM being the 225 and AMK the 210, here is the part number 06A145704QX

somethings wrong there dude.

look, i had a audi s3 which i crashed 3 months ago. i bought it with a bent turbo shaft. replaced the turbo myself.
turbos are the same and look the same apart from the k04-23 having a egt valve hole. k04-22 doesnt. i didnt know that and endet up buying the wrong one ( so have a k04 spare brand new). dude check which one you have ( k04-22 or k04-23 ) and give me a shout. and replacing the turbo on your own aint that bad, you need a friend for sure, damn hard tighting the bolts for the downpippe lol :biglaugh::beerchug:
