Hi everyone! I've just had the second set of NOKIAN tyres fitted to the front of my 130bhp Alhambra, the previous set having covered 17500 miles! That's what we got out of the Bridgestones which came as standard on the car. The Nokians would therefore appear to be as hard wearing as the Bridgestones but a lot cheaper. A few months back I bought a 205/55/16 Bridgestone to match the brand new spare which I was putting on the car. It cost £74. The Nokians I got last week cost £110 for both, fitted. You do the maths! The only problem, if it is a problem, is that you don't appear to be able to get 205/55/16 and have to go for 215/55/16, but that's it. Worth a try,eh?

Hello Ted,I run a 2004 Alhambra as a taxi and cover approx 55,000 miles per year. I always fit a budget tyre (don't want to spend £100 plus on a branded replacement if I get an irreparable puncture)and find the Event brand superb, 20,000+ miles,Steve

Thanks for that. I'll keep that in mind for the next change. Anyone else got recommendations in the "budget" area?

Hi Guys,
Have you tried the following website -

http://www.blackcircles.com

and I have fitted four of the following in the lasrt year
Interstate IS Sport IXT (Extra Load)* (javascript:fnShowProductModel('?modelid=8277502&cid=912&productid=8277529');)

at the time only cost £160 for two plus fitting by a mobile workshop at my house.

Recommended as they perform very well with little sign of wear after 8000miles.

Worth a look as they do loads of other makes
