Guys quick question as I'm sure mine isn't fitted correctly...

Can you have a look at the your headlight instrument panel next to your right knee (if you're in the driving seat) and tell me is it flush with with the dash panel...

Here's mine and it's pushed in at the bottom...

If so - I'll add it to the next list of issues to sort [emoji15]

No mate. That's not right. The bottom is far too on. Should be flush.

Seriously???

Thanks Andy...didn't think this was right...oh well least this is only a teeny minor thing which is easy to fix.

Added to the list (with the 100 year old brake pedal)

Bottom seems to have come off.. Or sitting in from its clips? Not flush as per Andy..

Most likely the knee had hit it in when exiting the vehicle. Happened to me couple of time.

You can pull the plastic trim forward yourself. Its just these 2 clips that sit into the dash that need to come forward.

It's a March 16 car but yes pedal alloy and footrest plastic...

Brake pedal sounds like it's 100 years old - I think they forgot to look at it when changing the gearbox...

But they have heard of the brake pedal issue - just seems my cars are the buggy ones

Mine was the same! I can't recall knocking it but gently pulled the switch and it snapped back into place. Good spot.

See likewise I don't remember knocking it but it could've been done by Dealers whilst they had it or you never know straight from factory...which also wouldn't surprise me. Hey ho easy fix thanks to the forum knowledge! (Which is one of the best ones I have to admit)

I only happened to notice as I was fiddling with the passenger mirror getting that to dip when reversing after another tip today [emoji1]

I assume it's working for you now? Once dipped you can make it dip more / less by just adjusting it using the control in the drivers door once it's initially moved into the dip position. Then next time it will move to the position you last used.

Only if you have driver memory door though. Otherwise it will dip to a fixed position.

So I guess accessing this sacred~secret menu requires VAG etc mastery

Enable MMI hidden green menu (2G, 3G, 3G+) - mr-fix.info (http://mr-fix.info/mmi-hidden-green-menu-2g-3g/)

It did need coding in old cars yes but we don't think it exists in the new Q7 platform. It works completely differently.

Yes it is thanks. It did take a little while to figure out as initially when I put it in reverse I saw the mirror twitch outwards but didn't dip. Started playing around and discovered exactly what you said, you move it to be in the position you want and then it remembers it.

Need to double check its set today as it didn't seem to be instant when I was going back and forth on the drive last night [emoji23]
