I posted a query a few weeks ago regarding a Fault Code P2454 - Diesel Particulate Filter Differential Pressure Sensor issue on my 61 plate 1.2 Polo. Anyway a mobile mechanic came round and confirmed the fault. He changed the sensor last weekand my engine management light went off and the car went back to running fine.
However, I have noticed patches of diesel appearing on my drive last week. Suspecting something serious, I had a look under the car and felt around today. Just under the off-side rear wheel there is a silver cylindrical thing with a bluish wire running to it that's clearly soaked in diesel. I called the mechanic to come back out, who immediately stated over the phone that it won't be anything to do with work he has done last week. Is he he pulling the wool?It wasn't leaking diesel until he touched it..
