I hate them. Their existence is superficial and moot.
Simple.

Just thought I'd put it out there!

😂 😂 😂.
Ermmm, well not those kind! I meant wheel spacers. They seem to be all the rage for some bizarre reason.

they have their place. there are proper ones, hubcentric, that have the sticky out bit that the rim sits on, or just flat ones. they have no place on cars, but hubcentric are ok as long as you use longer bolts or preferably a stud conversion.

I have H&R spacers and bolts to match on my Q7 18mm f and 23mm r and they have changed the overall appearance for the better.

Right, well, it seems from perusing the other model forums here, that most people buy whatever is cheapest and most easily pushes the wheels a bit further out....
The more I look into it and try understand both sides of the argument: for and against them, thus far it seems that that aesthetic benefits of them are outweighed by the mechanical and dynamic comprises, sacrifices and risks they pose.

Gavin,
Is there any known alternative to achieving this same improvement in visuals without spacers? Eg. Wider wheels etc?....
