Just sold the Audi S4...to costly to run.
Awaiting new Golf GTI - I know, maybe a step down, certainly in power.

Question is: Is it worth remapping the ECU of the Golf and if bods have, is the change really noticable. Anyone had some problems with this relatively easy mod?

what S4 did you have before? if it was the old 2.7 turbo motor, you arent going to be a million miles short of the power you h ad before, a decent remap will get you up to around 235-245bhp, 250 (if your lucky) and maybe a turbo upgrade? ;) my stepdad had a re-map on his old MK5 GTI before he purchaed the new MK5 R32, there was a considerable increase from 0-60 of around 1.3 seconds, and low range to mid range torque became amazing, top speed remained about the same due to standard gear ratios and whatever else. no problems ever occured, just pure sweet power delivery, a pure fun

4.2 v8..so yeah will be quite a bit down on power.
Plan was for the ECU upgrade and milltek exhaust - hopefully that
will make the car a little more fun, although the Audi is a big old heavy
car compared to the Golf.
