My car is being built, was down as Wk26 which starts today officially, but I am already in quality control.

If I look at the history, it has moved along one stage almost every day:

Is it always this quick?? Any thoughts on how long QC takes and when I can start watching it move across Europe??

That's how mine went. It sat in quality control for 5 days before leaving the factory, but from Quality Control to being at the dealer was only 18 days. Mine also skipped being in Emden and went straight to on its way to the UK.

Exciting times! Hope yours moves along quickly :D

Hi Happy waiting now..

Yeah I think once the vehicle hits the production line it would just roll out within their normal rates.. I guess we know there`s atleast one or more Q7`s being finished every 3-5 days lol..

Mines just hit these shores apparently

Congrats, I'm waiting for build week 32 to roll on, did anyone notice a change or is it a case of waiting for a watched kettle to boil.

I have heard people mention tracking their cars travelling across Europe, how do you do this? All I can see is that my car left Bratislava on Wednesday, no info on where it is or the route it is taking (i.e. which UK port).

Found another post related to tracking the boat. Go here The PWL Group (http://www.pwl.de/en) and select the UK schedule for VW and you get a PDF to download. Current schedule shows a boat due to leave from Emden to Sheerness tomorrow (2nd July) and arriving on 4th July, one to Grimsby on 5th July and another to Sheerness on 8th July.

I'd expect mine to be routed to Sheerness as my dealer is in Essex, so hopefully on a boat tomorrow!

Get on here AIS Vessel Tracking - AIS Positions Maps | AIS Marine Traffic (http://www.marinetraffic.com/) :D African Highway is the most likely ship but the Schelde Highway has also been doing that route. Happy waiting!

Yeah, I think that's the vessel due to leave Emden for Sheerness tomorrow (it is currently on its way back from Grimsby). How do people find out the planned shipping date?

After such a quick build, the car is taking forever ...

Left the factory on Wednesday 29th June, still not hit UK shores :(

African Highway is on its way back to Emden, so doesn't look like our Q7 was on the last trip (2nd July), due to leave again for Grimsby today and Sheerness again on Friday

How do you know which ship it's on? Or is it guess work?

Ultimately it is a guess, but based on the VW schedule from Emden to UK ports which only shows that ship going back and forth this week.

Gotcha. It's a pain waiting my doesn't even start build until week 32! Good luck with the wait. I wonder how quick it takes to get to the dealer from offloading

Mine was build in the wk starting 13th June and landed in The UK only last week. Spoke to the dealer this morning and the delivery is likely to be mid next week so you are looking a month between production & delivery.

Got a call from the dealer this morning, my car is at code 38 which means it has arrived at port in Germany. You can't see this on "yourAudi", but if you use the API you can see status 38 reported.

Fingers crossed my car will be on the ship leaving for Sheerness on Friday, arriving in the UK on Sunday.

Sadly I've done the same. I've used the site in this post For those waiting for their car to be shipped from Emden... (http://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/showthread.php/100550-For-those-waiting-for-their-car-to-be-shipped-from-Emden)

to work out where I think my car will be going. According to my calculations my car is now crossing on the "City of Rome" and should be in the UK by noon on Thursday. I hope I am correct:D

My friend did the same tracking his Golf....have to admit I haven't ever as yet tried to track the ship
