How many valves (8v/16v) is our newly acquired 1998 Mk3 2.0Ltr GTI?:o

On an odds basis I would say 8. There are far fewer cars of the 16valve variety.

just open the bonnet, if it says dohc 16v then obviously its a 16v, also i6v golfs have 2 red 16v badges, 1 on the front grille and the other on the r/h side rear underneath where it says golf gti.
