A4 B8 alarm going off all the time !!!!!!

Hi folks
Having an issue with the alarm on my 09 plate Avant.
After locking the car anywhere between 5-10mins the alarm will start to go off.
I've had it looked at and its showing an intermittent fault in the glass break sensor.
I'm looking for some help in fixing this fault, does it mean I need to replace the windows or is there something else that could be causing this fault to show up.

Update to the problem. Had the AA out as alarm was doing my head in. The guy said he couldn't strip the rear panels down as he didn't have the correct tools. After he left I removed the N/S/R panel and found the wires for the glass sensor. Bridged these out and the alarm has been fine since. Does this mean I need the rear 1/4 window replaced?
