I've got a MY12 A6 S Line with tech pack.

So my sat Nav is on hdd and I have two sd card slots and SIM card slot.

My current software and sat Nav map version are in the screenshot attached.

What are my options to updating the maps as I've been quoted £500 from Audi which is excessive.

MMI software is version they put on in October 15 to fix iPhone/data connection.

Thanks

Don't think you have much choice. There was someone on the forum who tried to update the maps himself and bricked the MMI. Expensive mistake. It is a rip off and completely unjustified. You can understand why people try and update it themselves.
I see Huntingdon Audi have the software license for sale on ebay for £180 then you need to pay for the dealer to update it. Might be worth giving them a call.

What Audi are doing are DOUBLE CHARGING you. I've had a quote of £255 to update my MMI and satnav database

its £180 for the license alone but then all you should be paying is for workshop time; once the dealership buy the maps from Audi Germany they can use it as many times as they like

shop around the dealers near you

here's a link to the license with a description of what you then need to do

I just sat in my A6, connected my phone, allowed for data mode and 15mins later and 2.36GB was downloaded. Then it said it will update itself at the end of the journey.

that's only on the FL models. Anything pre that needs to be done via an Audi dealer :(. There is no 'over-the-air' option to update
