Guys.

Just an update but I've managed to crack the codes so when you lock the car you get a single 'chirp' as well as the single light flash when the car locks. I like the audio confirmation as well as the light flash. This is enabled in US cars but not in UK.

Quick Video to prove I'm not making it up :) (https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=B06A5D3ED8AD270D!17661&authkey=!AM3YYZ0W2HaHByk&ithint=video%2cmp4)

I haven't cracked the coding for two 'chirps' when you unlock the car yet though. Still working on that.

Keep you posted.

Andy

Awesome, my obdeleven device has arrived....Unfortunately the actual car is still on the boat. Hoping it's possible to enable via this device.

Andy, any chance you can nose about and see if it's possible to turn 9ff the F*CKING annoying ticking sound of the indicators? I hate it almost as much as I hate the loud sound the boot release makes when you open it.

Haha, I can certainly look, but not something I've looked for yet!

You can certainly enable the chirping via OBDeleven thingy. I have seen it in the coding list. The thing is I don't like it so haven't bothered enabling it.
@JMB7... you will love the device. Just be careful what you're changing...

@Andy
Have a look at the pic attached
I wonder if the actual type of front lights is just a matter of coding? Is there a physical difference in front lights?30902

Hi Wolek

Yes, sadly the lights are physically different for Matrix against Standard ones. what coding was that screenshot under. I can try to reference it in VCP and VCDS

Update!
It turns out I can check what I did in the past to the car without having to connect to it. I love this this thing even more :)
There you go Andy :

Thanks Wolek. Can you do the same for module 46 too? Sorry!

Ok. I will make an effort and go and do this now.
I might request a "pint of something wet" should we ever meet ;)
I will do a video though as there will be way too many photos I think.
Give me 30mins...

Ok. I tried to connect to "Central Module Comfort System" (46)
It turns out that the device cannot communicate with this module.
I'm just guessing here but I believe it's something to do with new protocols in use and perhaps something to do with security business...
Hopefully the app developer is working on it. The app gets updated quite regularly so here is hoping :)
Oh. And the drink will have to wait....
All the best

Wolek. Absolutely mate!

Thanks for confirming. Module 46 also holds the alarm Chirp which I can access with vcds so I'm intrigued if the 'alarm chirp' in your kit actually works because it would need to access module 46 to alter it.

If not, it's only a matter of time considering VCDS can now access it (it couldn't a while back)

Right. Now you've mentioned that I am trying to remember what I saw and I think it wasn't chirping but the amount of indicator blinks on lock/unlock.
I will verify that tomorrow.
If the chirping is there too I will enable it just to see if it'll work via other means...
