Hi, I'm thinking of installing a reversing camera on my A1, Ideally I'd like to avoid running a video cable through the car so I've looked into wireless, and I'd like it to be attached in the boot handle. Could anybody tell me would I require anything more than these? :

It looks ok, what screen are you displaying it on?

A cars electrical circuit is quite noisy and I had to fit a noise reduction circuit board to make my wired system work properly. I think you could have additional issues and additional points of failure if you are going wireless.

I was going to display it on my pop up screen that comes as standard with the car. Would this be possible ? Is fitting a noise reduction circuit board a big job?
If so would you recommend going wired?

I'm 99% sure it won't work on your factory fitted screen. The factory set up is quite complex and all runs through the cars computers and modules so it knows when to switch over to the camera and when to show Satnav/media etc.

If you had an aftermarket head unit then it would be easy.

The noise reduction circuit is easy, but personally I'd go wired as it is more reliable and you will get a lot less problems.

Have a look at kufatec and they will probably sell a factory style kit that will work like it would from new. It will be more expensive but can't think of another way to integrate it with your screen.
