No not a reference to a front seat passenger with unscrupulous morals BUT I hit a cloud burst today and noticed how the rain and associated grime hangs to the front passenger door mirror. The airflow seems to flick the water up onto the glass however the drivers door mirror is fine.
Anyone else frustrated by this - will try some RainEx on the glass but any other tips as clean mirrors are a life saver on our UK motorways?

I've noticed this before and have been trying to work out why it happens.

My theory is that the mirror itself is set further back in the housing compared with the drivers side, therefore, the turbulence allows the water to 'hang' in the air a bit longer and gets sucked back towards the mirror.

In all honesty, I don't think there is anything you could do about it. RainEx may work though. I've got into the habit of giving it a wipe between cleans.

Same here, thought it might be the mirror heater but sounds like a design fault, annoying
