new! help please!!

hi im new to the audi scene but have only 1 problem so far and that is that every time i turn on the ignition i get a beep and a diagram on my display that doesnt go off. i cant check what the diagram is so i was hoping some1 else could look in thier manual and tell me.
the diagram is off a circle that sits inbetween 2 half moon brackets.
help much appreciated, car runs perfectly fine and im well pleased with it

Brakes?
Don't know about Audi's but some cars have a sensor in the brake pad that warns you when the pads are low.
Check how much 'Meat' they have on them...

Agree with the above ;) sounds like either the pads have worn down to the limit, or brake fluid level may need checking.

thanx guys. ive had 2 front tyres fitted today so perhaps they have disturbed a cable or somat. cos i checked the brakes wear while they had the wheel off.

i had the same sorta problem and it turned out to be an A.B.S Speed sensor. cost 130 quid to sort.... gulp.

does the light stay on all of the time or does it go out.

if it only stays on for 4 seconds its just a warning light and it probably is just the fluid.....

Does the light go out when you release the handbrake??? :Blush2:

Have you checked the handbrake switch functions correctly?
