Ordered a new Q7 with all the whistles and bells I could think of, not been built until 24th of June so still time to change the spec if I've missed something. Any recommendations for must haves?

I recommend not watching too many YouTube reviews as my options list kept getting longer and longer! Dealer told me today that the rear seat entertainment is causing delays and I've read some reviews saying it's not that great

I tried to order the rear screens but was told they would be fitted in the dealership and would be removable so didn't go with them

These are the options I ended up with. The only change I'd considered was going for the 21" wheels but after coming from an X5 M-Sport I kept reminding myself I didn't want to compromise the ride:

S-line 272, Daytona Grey
Dynamic pack
Technology pack
Parking pack advanced
Panoramic glass sunroof
Black valcona leather
BOSE 3D sound system
Audi matrix LED headlights
Advanced key
Driver and front passenger memory function
Heat and sound-insulating glass with privacy
Electrically adjustable steering column
Heated outer rear seats for the second row
Heated windscreen
Rear side airbags
Audi smartphone interface
Ambient lighting pack
Heated 3-spoke leather multi-function steering wheel
Heated, electrically adjustable and folding door mirrors
Non-smoking pack

Great Spec,

Park Pack Adv seems a bit hit and miss. Exit Warning is a bit of a gimmick but just my opinion and Park Pack does everything well

There was an earlier thread about rear side airbags and child seat issues (potentially) if you have a dig through

Otherwise, awesome!

Yes, I saw that discussion but decided to opt in as my youngest child only had 1-2 years before she doesn't use her high back booster.

The one option I'll miss from the X5 is the remote auxiliary heater. Annoyingly they have it as an option in Germany but not here.

I don't think you have either [emoji23] however as you will have no doubt the MY17 car as soon as the brochure and specs are out we believe there is a style pack (pana roof) which will give you running boards for I think £500 more! Worth looking at

Nemo is right but you can't have running boards if you have all wheel steering don't forget.

TBH I'm not a fan of the running boards anyway, I find they get in the way when getting in and out

I think my order will be a MY17 build so I had been thinking about the Style Pack. I've already spec'd Pan roof and Ambient lighting which are two parts of that pack. Running boards will be an extra £200. No brainer..... The previous feed about MY17 changes was great and showed all the prices. I've already warned my dealer there will be a few amendments.
