Maybe some good news for those of you with a build date.

I was given a build date of 11 April. 12 April VW's tracking service told me the car had left the factory and quoted average time to reach the dealer of four weeks. That time scale collapsed rapidly at each subsequent stage and the car landed on UK terra firma yesterday and an average time to reach dealer of seven days was quoted which means four weeks could in fact turn out to be as little as two. :D

What was your total build time? I was told 12 weeks, ended up getting it last week which was 8 weeks in.not bad at all

It arrived at the dealer 27 April so 16 days for complete transit. It was ordered 28 January so 13 weeks in total. The car has a least one option (DSG) that VW warns leads to extended lead times due to demand/capacity issues. Its due to be delivered to my home next Friday. Saturday morning we start the running in with 400+ miles to Scotland. Just the sort of trip it should excel at.
