a4 avant display

right just got my a4 avant 2001 y reg and the lcd display in the middle of the dash is all broken up (the one that shows radio etc). The screen is not smashed but the words are unreadable like the lcd is not working properly..

question 1: can i repair it.

question 2: can i get the parts.

question 3: where can i get the parts.

You may be able to reset this.Firstly make sure you have your radio anti theft code and then disconnect the battery overnight and reconnect,if it doesnt resolve it then its a new dash pod.

one more question to everyone, how do i use my aircon? it does not match the one in the manual that has come with the car. it has the digital display in the middle with temp to one side and fan speed to the other. any help will be much appreciated.:biglaugh:

Mine is doing the same - 99 A4 Avant 1.8T. Did the solution work? Where can I get my stereo anti-theft code from? I'd like to try this.

Where can I get a new unit and how easy is it to fit, if not?
