Installing an iPod into a 99 A4 with CD Changer

New to the forum, so Hi. Wondering if anybody had any advice on installing a cheapish solution to get my iPod hooked up to my stereo in my 1999 A4 Avant which has a 6 disc CD changer in the boot.

This is somthing I am looking to do as well, VAG do a Ipod kit, but you use the use of the CD changer, although do you need the changer idf you have the Ipod connected? Cost arount £100

Am happy to lose the CD changer, as long as it is backward compatible for re sale etc. When you find out more details or complete the job please let me know how it went.

I know in Seat vehicles, it connects to the head unit using the same plug as the CD changer, and you can control the Ipod from the headunit.

I just got an FM transmitter for my ipod then I tune the radio into that. It works ok.
