Hi Folks

New to the forum - just bought a 1990 LT28.

The washer pump is not working HOWEVER, when I put a multimeter across the terminals that feed the pump it reads 12.5v (when washer switch activated). When I connect the pump directly to the battery it works fine. But when I connect the pump to the terminals and try to operate using the washer switch the pump does no operate at all.

Any ideas anyone???

Its definately not the wiring terminals as Ive cleaned them, bypassed them with wires and taken multimeter readings from all points. Also tried using different earth but this didnt help.

Cheers

Madness indeed...
heres a suggestion...
maybe the brushes are going/ spindle has become loose so when you hold it to the battery the brushes make contact but when you mount it on the bracket by the water resevoir the different plane (angle its at)causes the spindle/brushes to move apart???
