Heated Seats

Random question for you all with the new 2nd Gen Q7. The front heated seats when turned on stay at the same level they were switched on at until you intervene.

Simplistically if I switch it on full level 3 it'll stay there until I turn it down. Could well be normal but in the wife's A6 it automatically turns itself down as it gets hot...so Level 3 to 2 etc

Does your Q7 do the same as my one or does it do as per the A6?

I noticed this too, used to the top setting turning down after a few minutes in my A6 but the Q7 will stay on high until you intervene.

Think it must be a new feature then as all the older models I've driven turn themselves down. You can change the behaviour though, have a look at the A7 VCDS tricks thread on how to do it.

My new q7 stays on max setting and doesn't reduce automatically. My older a6 did drop to 2 lights after about 20 mins. Looks like this is no longer the case.

May have just worked out how to enable this so it drops after X minutes... I'm away from home at moment, back Friday, so will test and let you know.
