Are they blinding us with light percentages when they state 110%, 120% and 130% more light.

Do they mean x2.1, x2.2 and x2.3 or x0.1, x0.2 and x0.3 more.

To me if I buy a 500 gram carton of cereal and it says 10% more I get 550 grams.

So is the light output doubled if they say 100% more...sorry but I cannot see that.

The important words are "up to".
They are significantly brighter than standard bulbs - it's a decent improvement, and considering they aren't that expensive, it's easier to just forget the claim and enjoy the benefit.

I'd say 110% = 10% brighter than the next blokes !! Suppose it's all just marketing speak.

Depends on the original test bulb that the figures are based on as said above most is marketing but osram and Philips do spend alot on r and d
