hi guys, im new here, we have just bought a 2003 2.5 tdi (163bhp version i think). It has 86k on the clock.
im new to these engines and was hoping for some pointers. The car seems to run smoothly but I think is very very flat bottom end.
Foot to floor at 2k rpm, and its flat, seems to pick up higher up the rev range, but there is a lack of that low down tdi torque.
It clearly needs a good service, but what else can i be looking at to check?
EGR issues? any thing that would specifically cause this?
Was also wondering what spec of oil to use?
