Hello,

I'm John and just joined the forum, from Bristol.

I've just ordered a new car - Audi A6 Avant, S line 2.0 TDI quattro S tronic - which will hopefully be produced on week 11 and delivered somewhere mid April.

Choosing the colour was the hardest thing to do :) in the end me and my wife have selected Dakota grey. We also like the beige but it's a bit too light.

I can't wait.. but I'll use the forum to help pass the time :)

The waiting is so hard, has everyone experienced this? I don't remember being so hard waiting for my Hyundai ix35, two years ago. that's because the expectations are much higher.
It helps that I've got a text from the sales guy, saying it's expected a bit sooner, end of March.

Ha, I am collecting mine 3pm on March 1st. Pretty much the same car only the black edition.

Will let you know how great it is.

That would be good, thanks!
When was the car built?

ordered 7th November, have had the air suspension added as my ar$e can't take s line suspension anymore. Was told it would be available early March. Oddly it arrived 3rd week of Jan. was offered it on a 65plate as it arrived early, declined the offer as have made that mistake before and regretted my impatience for the following 3 years! chose the 16 plate reg last week! can't wait but unfortunately have to

I know what you mean about the wait. I ordered my q7 Christmas week, but I don't want it until the end of May as I am out of the country for a while. The bad thing is I keep buying bits and bobs for the new car, can't wait. I was told I could have it at the end of March even though the build date I was given only made it available mid May. Anyway hope you both enjoy your a6's.

wow, that's a lot of waiting from November! Plus, waiting from Jan to March just for the numbers.. hard choice :)

wow, it's finally here! after 52 days.

what a car!! :)

huge space inside, looking like a spaceship, so quiet and confortable... all the (expensive!) toys I loved, tried them all already.

AAC is absolutely great, except in day to day traffic if you are trying to save fuel, as it doesn't "coast" to traffic lights, it just goes on and on and then brakes at the last moment.

Not sure about active lane assist though. You have to always keep your hands on the wheel, probably for legal reasons (you have to be in charge of the driving), but going straight the car might think you're not and deactivate itself after a few seconds. Not as useful as I would've thought.

Auto-parking is exactly what my wife needs :))

here's the first set of pics

I've dropped her today to the window tinters, and in two weeks there's a full detailing with gtechniq crystal serum to seal it in a nice shiny state.

This weekend I'm going to fit a dash cam (Transcend 220) and a GPS tracker.

A rear cupholder kit (the tray and the cover) are on the way, hopefully fitting this weekend as well.

Question 1: where can I find (cheaper) a divider like this? what's the part no?

Question 2: I'd like to fit a rubber tray to the boot like this:

but I'm not sure if there is one that doesn't impede the usage of the rails / boot divider. Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Welcome to VWAF :)

You might find it beneficial to post in the A6 C7 section rather than this Welcome section where people rarely visit.
