Warm Up time

Hi

How long should a Golf plus 1.9TD take to warm up fully. Mine takes about 15 minutes of A road travel (40/50 MPH) and around 9 miles to get to normal operating temp.
My old Pajero takes less than a mile to reach full temp. (I have blocked off the EGR valve, which may have an impact).

That's ok in cold conditions mines simular, but if you are concerned change the coolant sensor there not costly may help give a better reading.
