Brand new member with a CD eject problem

Hi all. I've just joined the community and wonder if you could help me? I've recently got a 2005 2.0 TDI with a RCD300 standard stereo. My problem is that it won't eject a CD that I have in it (all above board, bought not copied.) All the other radio and CD functions work fine.

Any ideas what I could do (except listen to the same disc over and over)?

you are probably going to have to take it to an audio specialist to have it removed - maybe that the mechanism is jammed

Where abouts in the world are you - may be able to recommend you to someone.

I am a new member but have exactly the same model and problem. In addition, the radio kept coming on by itself. Like mine I guess yours in still under warrantee? get it to your dealer - I am having the whole audio unit replaced this week (although they did try and install new software to solve the problem)

This seems to be a common fault.

I went to look at a mk5 the other day and the sales man said it has a skipping radio which should be sorted by a software update....

more like a new stezza then!!

New stereo fitted while I waited - half hour max.

I have this problem with the same radio, did you get it sorted, and how did you go about it.

The other thing I didn't mention is that you can apparently install new software to solve the problem (at the dealer) - they tried it on mine but didn't work
