Facelift steering wheel on pre facelift

Hi
will a facelift steering wheel be a direct swap on a pre facelift? Airbag and wheel connections.

The pre facelift use a dual stage airbag and the facelift use a single stage but the steering controls will work. People have put them on but a know of some that have had accidents the airbag has failed to fire.

i installed a mk2 TT steering wheel on mine and just had to modify the wiring for the multi function controls.

Yes it's fine bought steering wheel, airbag and wiring loom from Facelift a4 works fine on my 2008 a4

hsmithboy30, I just bought that same wheel for my 2008 A4. What loom are you referring to? The one that has the two connectors, one to attach to the airbag and the other for the buttons?
