Hi Everyone,
I have a B8 SE business estate that I am contemplating upgrading the headlights on to 12v LED lights, if only to get rid of the standard yellow halogen and improve visibilty. These are units I've seen on e-bay that have metal cooling fins or gauze like straps portruding from the back to dissipate the heat .
Having seen how tight the space is behind the headlights, I'm wondering if it would be at all worth doing, given that they appear almost inaccessable due to the lack of space behind the lens cap. I imagine too that the lens cap would not be able to go back on the unit as the cooling areas need space and ventilation.
It would seem that some parts of the engine compartment would have to be removed to gain access and wondered if anyone could give me some advice/guidance
