no TFT screen in this model - must be an option with the tech pack

Very nice looking, think it is better resolved than the 3 series and C class. Could see a 3 litre Avant replace my A6 in some years.

Not for me I'm afraid, don't like the shape of the dashboard and the width of the rear end is too wide and too A3 saloon-ish.

Much prefer my 65 plate B8 Black Edition!

I like it, although the (presumably base-spec) interior looks a bit sparse. Is the standard MMI screen any better than the A3 (i.e. icons don't look pixellated from 2 feet away)?

The DIS does look a bit naff in a 1980s Ford "here's a big slab of blank plastic for the option you were too tight to pay for" kind of way, but I believe colour DIS and full virtual cockpit are both options.

It was an sline so no that basic

The screen is very high resolution - nice picture of the A4 in car options etc

The technology is required or light and vision - cheapest 1k for the TFT virtual cockpit

LED headlights are good but not as good spread as Xenon - but nicer colour and very sharp cut off

Just felt gutless (150bhp model) and overall not that good a quality for Audi - Maybe used to the A6

Also the sound system was so crap it was unreal - so so bad

Even though it's the highest trim level, "S-Line" on most Audis is usually about the styling - bigger wheels, bodykit, better headlights, different inlays and lots of S-Line badges. You get better seats but otherwise the interior spec is the same as lower models - the fun tech is always optional! :)

Probably the same as the standard A3 system - 4 speakers run off the weedy amp built into the head unit and no subwoofer. See my previous comment about the fun tech :)

I went to see one at dealer recently to see if I was missing a trick in sticking to the A6 in favour of the new chassis, tech etc. It's so horribly small and Mondeo-like compared to the A6. It doesn't even come close. No contest.

Apples pears apples pears apples pears

Sorry but WHY?

A6 will always be more "cushy" than A4. So new A4 tech will be dulled down until they release in A6

Just my opinion ...

The screen really spoils it for me. If it was integrated into the dash or like our fold away one, it would be much better.
Someone at Audi needs to sort out the centre console too. The cup holders are so far away. The console on the A6 is slightly better but there must be much improved versions out there.

I quite like it overall , but it would have to have full leather, heated seats , full Tech pack as per my A6 , And have to check out rear legroom.

Not totally convinced about the screen , could be potential theft target if its thought to be removable, maybe Audi should of extended the instrument cluster to a similar length instrument cluster like the 96 plate A6 and had an all in one display.

it may well grow on people.

I had my A6 in at Huddersfield on Monday. Went to pick it up with Mrs G to be and she had a look round at the new A4 and Q7 and hated them. She said the A4 looked like a Merc and the Q7 looks like a Jeep. I quite fancied the A4 next time as its a bit friendly on the pocket and looks quite smart. But would have to spec it up to have same equipment as my A6. Looks like another A6 for me. She did pick out an RS6 Avant in the showroom as our next car ;)

I specced up the A4 and it was pricey once you add the options. The A6 avant 2.0tdi quattro has great discount (10K) at the moment but my wife thinks it's too big. It's her car so she needs to choose it-looking like it might be an S3 SB.

With Discounts and all the rest the A6 has to be the best value for money Audi of the Range

Hello, sorry I have to disagree with some of the comments, the basic DIS looks good in person and the MMI screen is high quality resolution.
However, I agree about the Audi Sound System, it seem to be crap compared to the same system I had in 2009 Audi A4.

Apart from a few niggles (Sound System and door rattle) I absolutely love the car. It feels light years ahead of the B8 SE Technik I had.

I have the basic S Line 2.0 190 TDI in Daytona Grey, I got a cancelled order which meant I couldn't add some of the extra's I wanted but did get a £5k contribution, so overall I'm very happy.

The ride is much better, even with the S Line suspension and 19" wheels, external sound is at a minimum and I'm getting about 55mpg combined.

I've seen some complaints about the standard screen, but I have no problem with it, it's high resolution and Apple Car Play looks fantastic on it (a big selling point for me), though I would agree that it would be better if it folded away. The dash is all very nicely set out, plenty of touch sensitive physical buttons that look very classy. The Sport seats are apparently much comfier than the previous model (so a friend tells me), which was something I was worried about and I don't even miss the full leather seats (much warmer on a morning!)

Really glad I went for the S Line, it looks gorgeous, and having seen my first SE B9 on the road this morning, I'm very glad I did. Additionally, the SE I originally spec'd up, after adding the extras I wanted, cost more than the S Line and still lacked some options!

Sorry for waffling, hopefully some of that helps!
