Cd Player/Radio Resets itself!

Hello all,

I have a slight problem. Everytime i switch my ignition off, my cd player 's memory resets itself and its annoying having no proggramed radio stations. I have a 1997 1.9TDi and it originally came with a none bose cassette player. it was connected up with 2 big clips and one quite small clip.

Please help and if someone has the wiring diagram it would be great. the CD player im using is sony GT610u.

Hi Mate

it sounds like you have the permanent and switched live wires around the wrong way - pull the radio out and you should see a red and a yellow wire - these are your two lives swap them round i.e if it is red to red and yellow to yellow swap them so you get red to yellow and yellow to red.

This should sort out your problem
