Knocking noise....b5 turbo a4

i have a slight knocking noise on the front lower part of the car. i am thinking it is the lower arms. has anyone else come across this....

Yes, there was a partial recall on this a few years ago on B5 models. My lower arms were both replaced FOC. However, recall was only on a customer complaint basis. I heard a knocking noise and went to the dealer with it.

There is no guarantee that this is what is wrong with your car, however!

my brother is an audi techi and told me about this also. but the arms that are on it are those that have been put on due to the recall.

There are other possible causes, but this one is common. Get the car up on ramps and have a good shake!
