Knocking sound when driving

I'd be grateful for any opinions on the following:
I have a knocking sound on my Mk5 FSI while driving. The whirring-type noise appears to be coming from the dash area on the driver's side and is most audible when I take my foot off the accelerator, especially in lower gears, but not exclusively. There's no noise at idle, when clutch is in, or on acceleretion. Anyone have any ideas what this could be? Thanks :1zhelp:

Yeah i get this sometimes on my mkv tdi... dont know about yours, but happens on mine usually when steering at low speeds in 2nd

Just thought I'd let you know,
I've had the knocking noise dealt with, it turned out to be the fuel line that had partly come out of its lagging, causing a vibration at 1200rpm.
