Is anyone having "crashing" issues with Microsoft Outlook over the last few days? If you try to read or open an email that contains HTML, i.e a marketing or advertising email Outlook crashes?

I have had this issue for a couple of days and now found the reason why... Microsoft updates has "screwed" up! In particular this one....

Security Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB3097877)

https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/482486ba-a378-4dcd-bd21-08ae19760b93/crashes-since-111115-updates-in-both-outlook-2010-and-2013-when-viewing-html-emails

I have now removed the update above and all is OK again, even though mine said the update had failed.... What I will say is that is seems that the update of the update still causes crashes.... So I will not be installing just yet...

I have just let mine update again using the re-released or updated update and it seems OK now... Will see how it goes :)

My inbox says 6 unread messages, but there is nothing in there. How do I get rid of them?

Try selecting "inbox" then right click... it states "mark all as read" click that and see if that helps, you may have some unread messages in folders ;)

No problem, I get it on the odd occasion .. It may have just been an email in a folder somewhere...

On a plus note the latest update seems to be working OK...
