Puzzled with this problem, just had new timing belt, new coolant bottle capand water pump fitted on my 2010 b6 passat 170bhp, hoping the new pump might solve the problem, but no luck,
The coolant level can be filled to the max level in the coolant bottle, I can be driving around and the suddenly the warning light and the computer would flash up saying coolant low, so I stop, unscrew the coolant cap and as I do so the coolant bubbles up inside and fills back up in the bottle, then can be ok for a while longer with me driving around, then it can do the same again, it can even do it after being parked up over night and when I fire up the car in the morning.
Been told it could be something else behind the engine ?? Or maybe a cracked head??
Has anyone experienced this before or maybe have any advice as I'm now stuck for ideas before it costs more money.
