hi folks just bought my first ever vw its a passat 2004 1.9 diesel highline 130 bhp is there anything i need to know about them major problems any advice would be much appreciated

Just use a PD spec oil and address the common water ingress points even if there's none at the moment .

What's the mileage ?

118k gonna give it full service and new timing belt kit as i never trust dealers telling you its been serviced

gonna order timing belt kit inc water pump oil,fuel ,air and pollen filter and pd oil is there anything else i should be getting thanks for any advice
