CD track/volume display between clocks

on my toledo i had a display seperate to the main stereo display on the dash between the rpm and speedo, it signified volume, track, cd number and radio stations.
its purpose is to save you looking down at your stereo and taking eyes off the road.
i have noticed it is not present on my leon cupra r.
is it a fault or something not plugged in or dooes it just not exist on the cupra r??
the little displays are there but they are just empty so i think it has been disconnected at some point since new.
