As a new member I couldn't help but notice how many newbies like myself have posted up 'hellos' which if you look down through the threads have been viewed 60-70 times by people and yet nobody in here says hi back?!

Miserable buggers!

not miserable, just depressed.. its raining, its dark and dank outside, its spider season, most audis have broken down, bills to pay, everything bad on the news, yet you want us to be happy. ???

Hello Rod and welcome to the site!

Sorry about the bad impression but it is the end of holiday season, so a lot of people have been away - and I personally go straight to the "What's New" section, so any "Hello's" that are a week or more old have generally been pushed off the bottom of the page by the desperate cries for help (and the resulting help & advice) when someone's car has gone wrong.

Please give the site another chance!

It's the same on most car forums tbh.
Pretend you're female, blonde, have big boobs and require an 'expert man' to help with an issue and you'll get page after page of replies.......

I had the same lack luster response when i said hello, my 2nd post even got a dislike :(. I contemplated taking 40 paracetamol to calm my nerves but it's only a forum, so who cares.

Hello Rod, like kar krazy, I usually just pick up the 'whats new' section and take it from there. I'm not really an internet or forum savvy guy, but have found this one to be invaluable over the past few years! Stick with it.
