Hello new here, new to dirty diesel side of things too.
Recently bought a a6 for a very cheap price. With that price as you can imagine there are some problems so expect aome more posts.
I bought a blanking plate that is designed to remove the egr system completely as i think this is causing one of the faults with the car and the guy was pointing to the egr sensor (he spoke very little english)
if i remove the system completely will i need work done on the ecu. Or am i better of cleaning it then fitting just one plate to blank off so it doesnt get filled with soot.
the engine is a 2.5 tdi v6 (ake)
Thanks
Phil
