Hi everyone,
I have owned my 2002 Passat 1.9Tdi Sport PD130 for little over one month, everything was fine after almost 2000 miles in 3 weeks driving back and forth from London to Devon until the power dropped massively on my way through Wiltshire last week. I was unable to get the car over 50mph, and the performance was sluggish at best, pinking every so often, with billows of black smoke coming from the rear, some smoke blowing out of the front and a high whistling noise coming from the front of the car drivers side.
The breakdown guy couldn't fix it on the spot but assured me it was safe to get home. It has now been with the supplying dealer for 12 days. They have checked all pipes, ran diagnostics, flushed the engine and replaced the camshaft sensor. All to no avail.
Does this sound like anything anyone else has experienced before??
