Dash cluster repair

has anyone repaired or had repaired (North Wales or North West) the display in the middle of the cluster (red writing - mpg/distance/avg speed etc), mine was intermittent (on or off) now pretty much blank, can just about make out the display.

Any recommendations?

You could try re-soldering all the contacts around the lcd,also if you search on the forums there is blow by blow account of renewing the display,can't help with a repairer sorry.

Thanks, not that handy with an iron so I'll do some more searching and take it to an electrician I know, thanks again

It is possible to buy the display.

i don't think they will repair, you just pop a new screen in. 30 quid off ebay or a bit more depening on quality, or send the dash to bba reman.

Ah yeah I have seen a few recommendations for them, so worth investigating, will refer to YouTube re taking it out, locum contract coming to an end, so should have a chance to sort it then. Thanks
