Recommend a mechanic close to E16...

Hiya,

I have an Audi A3 170 2.0 TDI. Noticed last weekend that the engine management light does not go out when the car is in ignition.
Also noticed that the cruise control no longer works and getting the car to start is more effort than usual.
I've phoned up a local garage and they quoted 50ukp to diagnose the problem and further to fix. Is that the going rate?
Can anyone recommend a good garage?

£50 is to read the fault codes and therefore tell you the potential problems with your car. Best bet is to pay the intitial fee to diagnose and then take it from their as whether you decide to use them or not.
