2012 Passat Ac Leaking into footwell. Is this drain pipe in correct place?

I have attached the following photo of where I believe my AC drain pipe is from the inside of the car. My question is is this in the right place? I thought it would lead outside where it seems to be behind a rubber band inside the car? Am I missing something or am I looking at the wrong pipe?
